Emerging Artists is a creative art program designed for students in grades 7–9 who are ready to deepen their artistic skills, explore their individual interests, and develop a more personal approach to artmaking. Through drawing, painting, color theory, composition, and mixed-media exploration, students strengthen their technical abilities while learning to communicate ideas, express perspectives, and bring original concepts to life.

Classes meet once a week for 2 hours. Each session features thoughtfully designed projects that encourage creative independence, critical thinking, and artistic experimentation. Students refine their techniques, explore more complex concepts, and make intentional creative choices as they develop their own artistic style. With room to experiment, take creative risks, and learn through the process, students build the confidence to approach art in their own unique way.

  • YESUL HOUSE offers art programs for young artists from TK and Kindergarten through upper elementary and middle school. Each program is thoughtfully designed to meet students' developmental needs, interests, and creative abilities.

  • Not at all! Our classes welcome beginners as well as children who already love to draw and paint. We encourage every child to explore, experiment, and develop their own artistic voice at their own pace.

  • Students explore drawing, painting, color theory, composition, and a variety of art materials and techniques. Through engaging projects and hands-on activities, children build creative confidence, observation skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-expression while discovering their own unique artistic style.

  • Each class is limited to 6–8 students, allowing us to provide more personalized guidance and create a supportive environment where every young artist has the space to explore, learn, and express their creativity.

  • Yes, class availability is limited to help us maintain a focused, supportive learning environment where each child has room to explore and create. We encourage families to inquire about current openings and find a class that fits their young artist.

  • Yes! All the art materials needed for in-class projects are provided, so your child can focus on exploring, experimenting, and creating. From drawing tools and paints to a variety of exciting materials, we provide what young artists need to bring their ideas to life.
