Studio Artists is an art program designed for students in grades 5–6 who are ready to strengthen their artistic skills, explore new techniques, and develop a more personal approach to artmaking. Through drawing, painting, color theory, composition, and mixed-media exploration, students learn to make intentional artistic choices while discovering how to communicate ideas, emotions, and stories through their work.

Classes meet once a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Each session features thoughtfully developed projects that challenge students to experiment with materials, refine their techniques, and approach creative problems from different perspectives. With opportunities to explore individual ideas and make their own design decisions, students build technical confidence, creative independence, and a deeper understanding of the artistic process.

At YESUL HOUSE, we believe art is about more than the finished piece. It's about learning to observe, think critically, take creative risks, and develop a style that feels uniquely their own.

  • YESUL HOUSE offers art programs for young artists from TK and Kindergarten through upper elementary and middle school. Each program is thoughtfully designed to meet students' developmental needs, interests, and creative abilities.

  • Not at all! Our classes welcome beginners as well as children who already love to draw and paint. We encourage every child to explore, experiment, and develop their own artistic voice at their own pace.

  • Students explore drawing, painting, color theory, composition, and a variety of art materials and techniques. Through engaging projects and hands-on activities, children build creative confidence, observation skills, problem-solving abilities, and self-expression while discovering their own unique artistic style.

  • Each class is limited to 6–8 students, allowing us to provide more personalized guidance and create a supportive environment where every young artist has the space to explore, learn, and express their creativity.

  • Yes, class availability is limited to help us maintain a focused, supportive learning environment where each child has room to explore and create. We encourage families to inquire about current openings and find a class that fits their young artist.

  • Yes! All the art materials needed for in-class projects are provided, so your child can focus on exploring, experimenting, and creating. From drawing tools and paints to a variety of exciting materials, we provide what young artists need to bring their ideas to life.
